Introduction of FMSDAB

Due to budget cuts with our schools, the FMSD Athletic Board is responsible for funding middle school sports for all Fort Mill middle schools (over 50 teams, over 1000 athletes).
Because of the budget cuts in Fort Mill, we are required to raise these funds in order to keep middle school sports for the youth in Fort Mill.
Our recent golf tournament raised $9000 but we need to raise more to continue the programs.

We are excited about our next significant fundraising event -Dancing with the Stars on April 28th at the Tega Cay Golf Club, 6:00 pm
Local celebrities
Professional dance instructors to train our Stars and perform with them
Each dancer would perform 2 dances, one standard ballroom and one freestyle, max 3 minutes for each dance
There will be a Dancing Champion, based on judges scores and other fundraising factors.

So to sum it up, event fundraising comes from program ad sales, ticket sales, donations from online/onsight dancer voting.

How Dancers Will Be Judged

The Dance Competition

Each dance is worth 10 points from each judge or 30 maximum points
Dancers can earn up to 10 points for each dance for a combination of — entertainment, technique, costume, time and chemistry of the couple and level of choreography
Total maximum points for dance = 60 points
For a tie – Crowd Favorite, based on audience applause, will determine Dance Champion winner

Overall Champion

Online fundraising voting for each dancer will be used to determining the Champion
Overall Champion will be based on fundraising efforts, dance scores and crowd appeal
